  •  For us, one of the most intriguing features was the bar-style smoothie dispensing tap. You don't actually need a smoothie maker with a tap, but we thought it might be one of those things that's "nice to have". In case you're wondering whether it performs well, we'll be covering that very shortly!
  •  Aside from the tap, this model has some other distinguishing features. This 500 watt Kenwood blender is more powerful than the cheaper models. This model is in the higher price range and it has the solidity, weightiness and speed that you would expect. The Kenwood SB266 also comes with a generously sized 1.5 litre jug, making it a suitable for families.
  • The Kenwood SB266 blender is a versatile machine. We tried out a few recipes with this model, including a couple from its recipe book. We found that it stood up to harder ingredients such as chocolate and almonds. It is suitable for daily use and performs reliably. Being the adventurous souls that we are, we ventured out of smoothie territory and had a go with some harder vegetables. We discovered that you can also use it to make soups.
    • The overall design is very appealing and it doesn't look too cheap. Although the dispensing tap was a bit of a let-down, it does work well for milkshakes without any fibrous bits. Apart from the tap, it seems reliable enough and is easy to clean and use.
